Our Story

As a busy single mother, I struggled to prepare healthy and flavorful meals for my family daily and my family was not a fan of left-overs. This challenge drove the idea of Seed+. Not only does Seed+ help provide the ingredients to create a nutritious meal in lieu of take-out or heavily processed food, it is delicious and timesaving! Let Seed+ help you cook more so you can spend more time relaxing!

Since most fruits and vegetables start from a seed, we bring you Seed+, BEYOND CRAVE-ABLE PLANTS.

Our passion for all things produce launched our journey to bring you quick and easy fresh products that are ready to use or ready to cook, with no product waste in your kitchen.

At Seed+, our commitment to sustainability is integral to our mission of providing plant-based solutions. We are not just enthusiastic about fresh fruits and vegetables, but dedicated to nurturing the planet that produces them. This commitment drives our collaboration with Earth University, an international, non-profit university with an innovative four-year undergraduate program in agricultural sciences and natural resource management located in Costa Rica. A portion of our proceeds from every sale is donated to Earth annually to help provide resources to educate the next generation of agronomists in sustainable farming practices.

By investing in Earth University’s educational program, we support sustainable agriculture globally, ensuring future agronomists create regenerative farming systems that combat climate change while supporting their communities through job creation.

Partnering with Small Local Farmers

Seed+ partners with small underrepresented farmers within our local footprint to lessen the travel time from the farm to your table. Seed+ acts as a HUB creating greater access in a food network connecting regenerative and organic farmers through small batch processing, at our location in Downtown Los Angeles (DTLA).

During an ever-changing climate, Seed+ is proud to support California grown, small scale farmers, who are continuing to utilize agricultural techniques and methods to bring our customers sustainable and quality produce.

Contributing in our Community

In our local Southern California community, we have contributed to fighting hunger and reducing food waste by donating fresh products to organizations, like Food Forward. Along with our distribution partner, Valley Fruit and Produce, we have donated over ten million pounds or the value of eighteen million dollars’ worth of fresh produce in the last six years. To create excitement and access to fresh produce products we donate to our schools and community partners.

These initiatives reinforce our belief that every small step we take is a part of a much larger journey towards a sustainable future.
